The Forge Banner

The Forge Dunedin

“…In your hearts honour Messiah the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who ask you for a reason for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and respect…” 1 Peter 3:15

The Forge Dunedin is a weekly apologetics programme that takes place every Sunday from 3.30 – 5 pm at Caversham Community Church, 17 Playfair Street.

The goal is to equip Christians in Dunedin to explore what they believe and why they believe it, so they can engage culture and present the Christian faith with gentleness and respect.

Our desire is to see an intellectually vibrant and passionate Church transformed by the renewing of minds, where Christians are confidently navigating and impacting culture with the truth of Christianity.

So far, we have completed three video series:

Gregory Koukl, Tactics

Francis A. Schaeffer, How Should We Then Live?

J. Warner Wallace, God’s Crime Scene

We are now praying about and planning for future series and events. To keep informed, please contact Jeff Coleman at

God’s Crime Scene | J. Warner Wallace

Discussion Leaders – Jono Thompson and Jeff Coleman

Join J. Warner Wallace, former atheist, seasoned cold-case detective, and popular speaker, as he tackles his most important case…with you on the jury! With the expertise of a cold-case detective, Wallace examines eight critical pieces of evidence in the ‘crime scene’ of the universe to determine if they point to a Divine Intruder. If you have ever wondered if something (or someone) outside the natural realm created the universe and everything in it, this is the course for you!
