Be One of the 31 in October
Most New Zealand Christian’s feel unequipped to share their faith effectively
As New Zealand has been a prominently Christian nation for so long we have not HAD to evangelise as much. With this assumption, many Churches across New Zealand have focused on charitable and community service as a witness of Christ’s hands and feet: “Preach the gospel at all times and if necessary, use words” (St. Francis of Assisi). This is a commendable view and is backed by Scripture particularly James emphasis that “Faith without works is dead.” However, with the rapid decline of Christianity below 39% in New Zealand – if ever there was a time to speak – it is now:
“How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?”
– Romans 10:14
Thinking Matters is committed to training and equipping believers—especially the young—to think clearly and make a solid, well-reasoned case for Christian doctrine and values in the marketplace, their schools, universities, community, and in their own minds.
Strategic Partners help make it happen. They are the backbone of this ministry and enable believers of all ages to be Christian ambassadors wherever they go.
The time to share the Gospel with passion, truthfulness, gentleness, and reasonableness is now. Lets send our young people out into the world equipped for the intellectual battles they are going to encounter.
In October we have the goal for 31 new Strategic Partners in the 31 days of October – will you be one of the 31? Become a Strategic Partner today by setting up an automatic, monthly gift of $20 or more.
Together, we can help reverse the decline of believers in Christ across Aotearoa New Zealand
Act today. Be one of the 31 and become a Strategic Partner before the 31 October deadline. Build a legacy of impact and produce more Christian ambassadors equipped and mobilized to stand strong for Jesus!

Our central belief is that Christianity and Christian values, if properly understood and articulated, can compete in the public square—and not just when communicated by preachers, scholars or theologians. The verse that best describes the heart of Thinking Matters is 1 Peter 3:15 "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect"
Our goal is to equip young Christians with the knowledge they need to stand firm in their faith - Become a strategic Partner
Strategic Partners are committed friends who give a monthly or more regular automatic gift to Thinking Matters. Automatic giving is convenient for you and allows Thinking Matters to plan more efficiently and effectively, balancing out those inevitable seasonal highs and lows in giving.
